THE COURSE objective

This bespoke course is intended as a step towards further training at one of the UK's top theatre schools. 100% of DSC graduates who auditioned for further education, successfully gained a place at one of their top choices directly out of their second year. Students have successfully gone to study at renown colleges including, Laine Theatre ArtsWilkes AcademyMasters Performing ArtsLondon Studio Centre, Performers CollegeAddict Dance AcademyThe Northern Ballet SchoolMidlands Academy of Dance and Drama (MADD) and many more incredible institutions, all with funding assistance. All graduating students will have a clear knowledge and talent in dancing, singing and acting and how to be fully prepared for auditions, giving them a head start to competitors. Dancers who sing, singers who dance, actors who sing or singers who act, we provide the best training in the North-West for anyone dreaming of a career in Performing Arts. With only 20 places per year, our students receive close and intense training and no-one is overlooked. Regular meetings and tutorials will ensure our teachers and students are constantly working toward their achievements.

Training under current industry performers whose stage, TV and commercial credits include: Coronation Street, CH4 Hollyoaks, Cats The Musical, The Royal Shakespeare Company, Les Miserables, Mamma Mia 2; The Movie, Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, Starlight Express, Cold Feet and Matilda; to name just a few. All of our tutors are not only highly qualified, but highly experienced performers, making training exciting, fresh and current. DSC even has a bank of tutors who work as casting directors and producers within the theatre and TV industry including resident director at the Leicester Curve, where shows such as Bugsy Malone and Everybody's Talking About Jamie began.

Throughout training, in addition to core subjects, DSC provide hours of enrichment and workshops with performers such as Ryan Clayton from Coronation Street, Denise Welch from Loose Women, Perri and Jordan from Diversity, Alyx Steele (Jessie J), Adam Garcia (Films, Broadway, West-End and Got to Dance), Billy Sawyer (Steps, Jess Glynne) Kimberley Wyatt (PCD), performers from Matilda, Thriller Live, Evita, We Will Rock You, Hamilton, SIX and more.
